DAY 1
Upon arrival in Leticia, our Amazonian experience coordinator will give you a warm welcome at the airport. From there, we will take a land transfer of approximately 30 minutes to Burú Nature Hotel Amazonas. Upon your arrival, we will check in and enjoy a welcome talk with general instructions, hotel rules, and the schedule for your stay. At Burú's Umarí restaurant, you will savor a signature menu that fuses Amazonian cuisine with influences from around the world, a unique culinary experience that will captivate your senses. The afternoon will be free for you to rest and enjoy the hotel's natural surroundings: the jungle, its sounds, aromas, and the tranquility that characterizes it. As evening falls, we will meet at the Yoi maloca to experience the "Manos Ancestrales" (Ancestral Hands) workshop, a space for meeting and learning with indigenous women, who will share their art, wisdom, and cosmovision deeply connected to the Amazonian territory. This special moment will culminate with a ritual asking for permission from Mother Jungle. We will end the day with a special dinner that celebrates the flavors and traditions of the Amazon.
DAY 2
We will start the day with a delicious breakfast at Burú Nature, perfect for recharging before starting the adventure. We will take a short transfer to the Tanimboca Reserve, located just a few minutes from the hotel. From there, we will begin a full day exploring the natural richness of the Amazon rainforest through exciting activities: an ecological trail guided tour to discover the local flora and fauna in their natural habitat; tree climbing, where you can ascend to the heights of the jungle and enjoy an impressive panoramic view; canopy and a hanging bridge, where you can feel the adrenaline as you glide down the zip line and cross a hanging bridge over the forest canopy; and a kayak tour or jungle walk, depending on your preference and availability, where you can either paddle peacefully on the river or walk into the Amazonian trails. At noon, we will enjoy a typical lunch at the reserve before returning to Burú Nature, where there will be time to rest and relax. The day will culminate with an Amazonian dinner at the Umarí restaurant, celebrating the region's most authentic flavors. Overnight stay at Burú Nature.
DAY 3
The day will begin with breakfast at Burú Nature before taking a land transfer to the fluvial port of Leticia. From there, we will navigate by boat to the Marasha Reserve, located in the middle of the Amazon rainforest. Access to the reserve is by an ecological walk of between 1.5 and 2 hours through trails surrounded by flora and fauna, with the possibility of observing some primate species. During the high-water season, access can be done by a small boat, navigating to the heart of the reserve. During your stay in Marasha, you can enjoy various experiences: tours on ecological trails or by canoe, depending on the season; sightings of the majestic Victoria Regia and different species of flora and fauna; canoe trips on the lake, sport fishing, and kayaking activities; a visit to the imposing La Ceiba tree, a symbol of the jungle; rest areas in the floating cabin with hammocks, safe areas for swimming and birdwatching; and feeding the Pirarucú fish, one of the largest freshwater species in the world. As night falls, a night safari to spot alligators and other Amazonian creatures. The experience includes accommodation in private cabins with private bathrooms, buffet-style meals, and unlimited hot or cold beverages (water, aromatic tea, coffee, and juice of the day). We will close the day with a special dinner and overnight stay at the Marasha Reserve.
DAY 4
After breakfast at the reserve, we will begin a navigation on the majestic Amazon River. Our first stop will be at Puerto Alegría, a riverside community in Peru where we will have a brief cultural encounter to get a close look at the local lifestyle. We will continue to the Cacao Island, a privileged natural environment where, with a bit of luck, we can spot sloths resting in their habitat. The journey will continue towards Puerto Nariño, a model municipality in sustainability and conservation. There we will enjoy a typical lunch of the region at the Moroapu restaurant. At the end of the tour, we will return by boat to the Biohotel Arara, where dinner will be ready to end the day.
Within the biohotel facilities, you will find the hydration station (water, aromatic tea, and coffee), the dining room, and the reception on the first floor. On the second floor of the maloca, you can enjoy board games, hammock areas, and a socialization zone. In addition, you will have the opportunity to visit the novel "Mirador" treehouse, approximately 30 meters high, and the charming ground-level house. Overnight stay at Biohotel Arara.
DAY 5
After breakfast, we will take a shared boat transfer to Leticia. Depending on your flight time, a land transfer will be made to the airport.
It is important to note that the return flight should be scheduled after 11:00 a.m., as the distance between Biohotel Arara and the city of Leticia does not allow for a guaranteed on-time arrival for earlier flights, which could put boarding at risk.
This itinerary may be subject to modifications due to weather conditions, while always maintaining the scheduled activities. The river transfers on the Amazon River will be in shared boats.
